Marcia's Story

Life Since school i have been to some junior college at FCCJ (south campus) and i am now a single stay at home mom with a 10 yr old son trying my hand at party planning for kids due i still love music and dancing and went to the final concert for Prince in April and plan on attending Heart concert in August and Van Halen on 9/11/04 I enjoy being a single mom but still get lonely at times and have never been married as of yet but my son has to approve because he is a permanet fixture in my life.I am also currently disabled and on ssi.Recently my son was diagnosed with Selective Mutism and PDD-Nos an autism related disorder and they are preparing to test for Fragile X syndrome and have placed him in esc classes for a whole day.I am facing yet more challenges with my parenting a disabled child but i will make it thru i always do.but keep me in you thoughts and prayers please would love to hear from anyone i miss my school friends and friends am pretty much alone now days other than Ricky-joe my son age 10 who loves Bob the Builder and Maisy and Scooby Doo.Also i am now a great aunt by my nephew Chad he had a baby girl on March 19,2005 and i heard just recently he has a second girl so this is really exciting we had the joy of being reunited in this next 2 weeks we hope we have not heard from him since my son Ricky-joe was born in May 1998 until this Christmas a wedding for him might be in the works too!!!!!!! I am currently also having to go thru court con...Expand for more
cerning my son i endured that gave me the precious gift of my son tho hardships i am enduring The man upstairs is looking out for my family thru illnesses, separation, tragedy, and financial hardships and yet numerous blessings yet also lost love have hurt my heart the miracle of my son heals me everyday keep us in your thoughts that the tragedies continue to reunite me with family and friends and that my family would stay intact in the best interest of my son who is dealing with multiple disabilities in our family as well as his own health disabilities and medical problems Have a Happy New Year!!!!! My biggest crush was Matt Bishop at Sandalwood Sr.High,Tim Mills at Terry Parker, and Mark Rigdon at Arlington Jr high.I would have to say Ms Belton was teacher at sandelwood who inspired me,At Terry Parker it was Coach cooper, and at Arlington Jr.High male teacher that inspired me was Mr.Brown and female teacher was Ms Grovenstein. If i could do it over i would return to school to be educated more.ButI don't think they could ever teach my how to be a single disabled mom raising a disabled child alone and caring for my disabled family we are all disabled in some way or another it is truly a challenge living the life i have now. I was happiest in school when i was contacted about being in Ms Teen Usa as one of the top ten finalist.and the Terry Parker did best to prepare me when i didn't have a clue where to start.Coach Cooper was my lifeline and church of course.
