Marcia's Story
After leaving Bentley High School, I attended Oakland University Engineering School, graduating in 1974. I worked as an electrical engineer for Bendix at their Research Labs in Southfield, MI and their Electronic Fuel Injection Division in Troy, MI. I left Michigan to begin law school in California in 1976 and I have lived in California ever since. I passed the California Bar, becoming an attorney in 1980 and I passed the Patent Bar Exam in 1984. After working for the largest Patent law firms in California, I began my own law firm in 1990 in Long Beach, California. I was married in 1987 to a Michigan boy (a UPper). We just celebrated our 26 wedding anniversary. Although I have now lived more years in California than I have in Michigan, Michigan and the people there are always close to my heart.
