For the past 25 years I have lived in Decatur, IL, with my husband, John, and a few dogs and no-name cat.. My two step children and only niece, Stephanie, live close by, along with eight grandchildren. We recently moved from our home of 25 years to a townhome with not outdoor chores to handle. My sister Sandie, who lived in Florida, passed away several years ago. For thirteen years I managed my own restaurant, Marcia's Waterfront Restaurant, a fine-dining restaurant on Lake Decatur. After graduating from Indiana University in 1965 and doing a year of graduate work, I've lived in Chicago, Boston & New York, working mostly for big businesses; then back to Chicago, where I worked for Quaker Oats, got my MBA from the University of Chicago and met John.
