Marcia's Story

Life I am a Senior Keeper in Collections Husbandry Science, Mammals at the San Diego Wild Animal Park, an annex of the San Diego Zoo. I have been employed in this field since 1980, and have been with the Zoological Society of San Diego for 26 years. My speciality is hand rearing of exotic neonates. I hav...Expand for more
e raised several great apes, several rhino calves and many others including carnivores and hoofed stock. I am currently the principle Okapi keeper for the ZSSD. My husband, Mike, is an Enrolled Agent (tax compliance expert) with his own business. I hold degrees in Zoology and Biological Parks Technology.
