Marcia's Story
Life
I Have lived in Ft. Lauderdale since 1968. My husband and I have two sons who are both attorneys here in Ft. Lauderdale. We have four grandsons and five granddaughters. I taught English at Northeast High School here in Ft. Lauderdale. I still visit Middletown every summer and Miami University. I have since retired in January, 2006, but I substituted at the school where I taught. I now enjoy doing things with my grandchildren, going to lunch with friends and being involved in my church's activities and Bible Study Fellowship.
My sad news is that Ladd, my husband of 47 years, passed away on November 30, 2009.

I still have many memories of my teaching years -- 1963 to 1964 at Choctawhatchee Hgh School, 1978 to 1984 at Boyd Anderson High School, 1984 to 2006 at Northeast High School. These schools are all in Florida. My very first year was at Roosevelt Junior High in 1961 to 1962 in Middletown, Ohio, where I grew up.
In 2010 I took a trip to Israel and Egypt with a group from my church. I was a little hesitant about going that far from home, but it was a wonderful trip and experience.
The end of June I am moving to a retirement community five minutes from where I live now. Many of my friends from school and church live there.
