Marcie's Story
Hello This is Marcie (Mims-Walck-Bennett)
After high school I attended Bakersfield college received my aa in general subjects.
I got married in 1972 to jon a walck,he attended North High School.He would have graduated in 1970 however,he really did not like high school much. He was attending Bakersfield high to get his GED,however,he did not complete course,because he met me!That is not so great.However,He lucked out and got employed by SanteFe railroad where his was a laborer. We got married June 23 1972. After that he was promoted to a freight car repairman. We had a forced transfer to Barstow California. a graveyard line cook>When we moved to Vancouver I transferred with Sambo's by that time I got pretty fast at cooking I got on day shift 6:00am to 2:00pm.After a while I got tired of line cooking a went to work at a golf-athletic club called Meadows Kitchen in Orchards Subberb of Vancouver,Washington.
My daughter,Crystin,was born in 1982 in vancouver,Wa.
Jon,Crystin and I moved to Deer Park Washington. We had a beautiful home there on acreage,4 horses and 4 dogs.
Well July 4th weekend (1997)I could not live with Jon any longer and moved to Lewiston Idaho.That is where I met my husband,Bob Bennett)we lived together for 5 years and were married in 2002.Bob retired in 2005 and we traveled for 2 years.I am 9 years younger than Bob and went back to work caregiving.We live between Athol,Idaho amd Morriston Arizona.
