Marcus 's Story

As the Guy who loved to sing and dance. I always wanted to be a singer when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a good idea. As it turns out, they were right. In December of 2007 I completed my first single intitled,"Encourage U". I blow off steam by singing or exercising. Producing my own music in my home studio. The wildest thing I ever did was came in late, climb through a window and got caught by my parents halfway through the window. Alot of my inspiration comes not from people with the nice cars or the people in with the big house, but from the ones I see daily walking the streets. I see it like this; if I push myself more to do more spiritually, acadimically, and other wise, then maybe I can help someone like someone helped me. Do I have a hero? They're the many that do when others say they can't. Her name was Nora. I can't remember her last name. We were best friends in middle school. She moved away and I never heard from her again. Me marrying my childhood friend. I remodel my basement and add on a deck, sunroom, and recording studio. My dream home would be Donald T's home. What I've learned from my children is what goes around comes around. The teacher that I would love to see again is Mrs. Manness, because she truely cared about the well-being of her students. If I won $100 million, I'd give ten percent of it to God, then spend the rest on my wife, my children and myself. My wife because she is the QUEEN, my chidren because they are the future, and myself to top it all off. I am 34. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be grey ...Expand for more
headed. I was so completely wrong. My career aspirations are to become an attorney, work in the Law Enforcement area or become a professional gospel artist or all of it,(no limits on God). I have earned my B.A. in Criminal Justice and am now working as a Deputy Clerk of Superior Court. It was blown away by the wind. I do not dress like I did 10/20 years ago. My style is sophisticated and classy. Urban when I want to be. I've learned how to flip-it from urban to corporate measures in dress, culture, and intelligence. I share my home with my lovely wife and our two beautiful children, which I find very comforting. A big victory for me was when I became the first African-American SGA President in the history of MCC. And now the first African-American male to hold my current position at the court house. If it means altering my present place in time, I wouldn't do anything over. An attorney practicing or a prfessional gospel artist or both. I'm going to get there by 2011. I am constantly writing. Someone said to me, "that I would write great songs once I have experienced more and they were right. My oldest and dearest friend is my wife. We met at church when we were very young. She was a childhood friend from age 7. We clicked because we both had an unverbalized attraction to each other and an unmistakable, indescribable love for God. My appearance and confidence. I'll never forget the time when I convenced my brother and some friends at the age of 4 years old to get into a hole at a construction site. They had to be rescued by the fire department while I stood by and watched.
