Marcy's Story
Life
Following high school, I attended Longwood College for two years, where I met my future husband, Ted. We were married in 1969, and we worked to help him finish his college education. I worked at many jobs to support his goals, and he became a Presbyterian minister. We had a lovely daughter in 1974, and we served churches in Rock Hill, SC; Augusta, GA; Iva, SC, and now Kingsport, TN. a full-time psychotherapist. I returned to college to complete my Bachelor's degree in 1990, and I have been teaching Special Education since 1992. Life has been challenging, sometimes heartbreaking, often very satisfying and rewarding, and I have found great joy in my family and my first love, singing; which I still do as often as I have opportunities. My father died this summer, and I miss him very much. My wonderful mother is a remarkable friend and mentor. Sincerely, Marcy
