Margaret's Story
Hello Everyone . . . just happened onto this site . . .
As for some history . . . I attended Texas Woman's University in Denton, TX, and married in 1974.
I lived in Lubbock, TX, for five years and returned to Houston, TX, in 1979.
I have worked in the medical field for thirty years, four of which I taught childbirth preparation.
I was diagnosed with Lupus in 1998 and went into semi retirement. I have been doing contract audits and writing, with a children's book currently in submission.
I have had a couple of articles printed in the Galveston Daily News as well as a few letters to the editor. I have other works with several other magazines.
My genre of choice is adult fiction and I currently have two books in the works.
Putting my writing aside, I still enjoy reading, sewing, crafting, needlework, watercolor, collecting dolls and old things. I have had an ebay store that I intend to reopen eventually and I love spending time with my grandson!
My life has been quite eventf...Expand for more
ul . . . we have two sons and one grandson. Our oldest is a Marine Reservist who played in the Marine Corp. Band on the East Coast during active duty. He is now with the Galveston unit of amtraks . . . Our youngest is the father of our grandson and in management for O'reilly Auto Parts.
My husband is an electrician for a public school system after having retired from self employment in 1999.
I recently acquired my Texas Insurance License and have contracted with Bankers Life and Casualty Company, where I work with the most wonderful group of people on what might be considered a part time basis.
I recently promoted to trainer and look forward to management in my senior years if publication does not afford my retirement first.
In spite of many ups and downs, I have been truly blessed in life and look forward to as many tomorrows as possible.
I have a page on My Space and Yahoo Messenger if anyone is interested in reading my blogs.
Look forward to hearing from anyone . . . : )
