Margaret's Story

Life After graduating from Arundel in 1981, I worked and went ot Anne Arundel Community College for a few years. I got married in 1984 and moved to Hawaii (husband was in the army). WE returned to Crofton in 1988 and lived there til my husband retired from the Army in 1995. We now live in Southwest Michigan, right on Lake Michigan. I have a 19 year old son who is attending college and works full time. He is a great kid!!! He was part of a high school symphony orchestra that was rated in the top 100 high school music programs in the country!! He now gives private lessons to budding cellists in 4th and 5th grade. I work as a child support enforcement officer and have returned to school to become a nurse. This has always been a passion of mine. I would like to become a geriatric specialist and help people in a hospice setting. Since my mother is aging rapidly, I would love to be able to make her last few yea...Expand for more
rs happy and comfortable. My spouse of almost 23 years works as a contractor for Whirlpool and we have a home, a cat and a dog. We stopped at only one child but, since the national average is 2.3 children per home, I consider the pets the other 1.3 children. For anyone who may remember me, I loved theater and choir! So, after 19 years away from it, I rejoined the theater world here in my hometown. I have been on stage or involved backstage for 10 shows since 2001 and I LOVE IT!!! I admit that I prefer to be onstage but I have learned the backstage stuff in the last few years. It certainly taught me to have MORE respect for those hard-working people that really run the show! I will be working backstage for two shows this next year and maybe I'll audition for onstage for one show this year. I also have a part-time job at a Raquet and Fitness Club, working front desk and I meet a lot of very nice people there.
