Life My one and only husband joined the accounting firm I worked for in Vancouver. A week later, at the office's summer cruise, I shamelessly chased him until he noticed me and asked me out. Five months later he proposed and after a 14 month engagement we married on Valentine's Day, 1976. We started married life in Kamloops and spent a short time in Salmon Arm before moving to central Vancouver Island where we currently reside. We weren't getting any younger so we proceeded to have three children over the next four years. David was born the summer of 1977, Kelly (daughter) born summer of 1979 and Katherine was born Spring of 1981. I don't believe in both parents working (when it's not necessary) and farming their kids out to be raised by others so instead of working outside my home I took the necessary steps to open a children's day care in my home. I worked at it for approximately 13 years until one day when it dawned on me that I really wasn't fond of other people's brat......I mean children.
