Margaret's Story
Graduated SUNY Delhi AAS veterinary science. Then AAS nursing. Have 4 children Wilford, Chris,Margrete and Evan Barnhart. Meg and her husband have 2 boys 5 & 3. In Unidilla ny. I'm in Delhi NY. My husband died suddenly in 1997. Combined 2 farms in Delhi where I've been since 01. Milked cows and did nursing work til we sold the cows in 2018 due to illness. Ride my 2 kentucky mt horses kit and blue as much as I can raise and sell cut flowers Hybridize day lilies raise rabbits and chickens. I had breast cancer in 13 and have both knees replaced ,one shoulder replaced and the other shoulder pending replacement . Back is shot but almost bionic on the 4 corners lol. Hope anyone who reads this is well and happy take care and stay well, Maggie. Ps looking back. I really wasn't the least bit popular on HS. I was a bit of a ghost. However I did save the senior prom from honey bees. There was a swarm that day, my dad was away so I went and removed it. I can still remember the look of shock when Pizzolo found out it was me in the bee suit !! He was surely not expecting me LOL. Hi to anyone reading. My mom passed away 11/17/20 peacefully in her sleep after a 2 mo battle c CHF and it's complications. She was buried in st patrick's cemetery just up from east side school. We will miss her but she was just worn out. Other than that still getting ready for winter. I'm a bit behind cuz of caring for my mom. But what the heck I'll catch up after a bit. Thank goodness the weather has been very reasonable for Nov /early dec. Happy holidays to all and stay well love maggie. 12/18/20 well so much waiting for winter lol it arrived with vengeance yesterday. We only had 26 in but some of the surrounding towns had 42 in plus. Oh well it had to show up sometime. Everyone take Care and have a wonderful holiday. Maggie. Hi well the worst of winter may be behind us ? Maybe ? At least it's March. Lots of folks are tapping now and making maple syrup. Hope it's a good season. We don't do it any longer. Sold all the pails and arch just too much work. Getting ready for spring. Ordering seeds have a 20' greenhouse. Start vegetables and flowers for spring sale. It's a busy time for sure. And just as soon as mud season arrives well so does spring fever lol. Just can't keep from digging in dirt !! Looking forward to riding and the world tur...Expand for more

3/28/21 Getting ready for spring. Do a greenhouse full of transplants to sell and perennials to sell. Never enough hours in a day. Took a demanding job nursing job for a very well known celebrity who's name I can't reveal. Lol. Started in may and have made numerous trips to Manhattan to work when she is there instead of here..... Growing perennials and veggies messing with my daylilies , horses and the daily drudgeries outside of work. It's been a good year for blue and black and raspberries however because of copious rain and a lack of sun the flavor has been lacking. Oh well just a poor year. Youngest son Evan an gf Nicole tie the knot Sept 4 so lots to do. You all take care and be well love Maggie. 2/13/22 Hi. Slogging thru winter. Still c the celeb nursing job. I'm there 7 days a week. Sometimes it gets to be a grind..but what doesn't ??? Trying to get ready for spring again seeds plants and such. Still a month to go before things thaw up. No horse riding ,just too much ice everywhere. Youngest son and daughter-in-law are hoping to close on a house around April so lots to do. Never a full moment. Well hope all are well love Maggie. Well can't believe it's almost 1 June 22 😫. Too much to do. Youngest son and wife closed on a house in East Northport. And are now expecting. Another 😩. Well never a dull moment. Trying to get plants and garden up to speed work 7 days a week and stay sane lol. Hope everyone reading this is well and has a great Summer love Maggie. 12 /5 /23. Was so happy to attend the latest reunion in Sept 23 had a great time ! Fantastic to see classmates I hadn't seen in years. In July my better half of 22 yrs passed . He had been struggling c COPD and then had a strangulated hernia... A really low point in my life. But no rest for the wicked ....... My daughter and son in law moved back from a 3 yr stay in Kansas.... Glad to have them back but it was a massive logistical nightmare getting them and their stuff back. Other than that hope everyone is well. The holidays are coming ! Fun fun fun 😂 OMG. Hope to have a more peaceful new year but doubtful...... Still.working full time and then alot some. Love to all Maggie.
