Margaret (Micki)'s Story

Life In 1982, my son Jake (4 at the time)and I moved from Nevada City to my home town of Arcata; Eureka to be specific. I attended college and acquired a degree in business. In 1983 I married a Coast Guardsman and had my second son Luke. When I moved here I also began working out regularly and cycling. I got hooked and haven't stopped. 20 years of marriage, my husband and I divorced. Now I'm single and very happy. Luke just turned 21 and lives at home while he attends college. Jake, now 26, graduated from Chico State where he still lives. At Chico he became friends with some kids of friends from Nevada City - it's a small world. I have three dogs, love to garden, and make jewelry on the side. I also spend as much time as possible outside boating or hiking. I still stay connected with Nevada City through friends and visit at least once a year on my way to Truckee to see my brother. Life is good in Humboldt County!
