Margaret's Story
Life
Wow! it has been a very long time since I updated my profile. My life has changed so much since I originally wrote the first profile. I am still living in Miami, Florida. After 24 years of marriage I got divorced 4 years ago, and was very happy with my life. Then I met my fiance, Doug, whom I completely adore. He is kind, caring, giving, and very patient with me and my crazy life. Unfortunately, he lives in Tampa so we have been having this wonderful, crazy, and difficult at times-because of the distance, long distance relationship. I am planning to move to Tampa in the beginning of 2009 but we have no def wedding plans at this time. I am very active in our church and enjoy all of the community service projects we do. We frequently go to the Miami Rescue Mission to feed the homeless, we decorate one of the houses at the children's home in north Miami at Christmas time, Christmas carole to the home bound, and collect and ship items requested by our troops in Iraq. I am also a major nascar fan. Of course my favorite driver would be Jeff Gordon, whom i met about 5 years ago. I have a few friends that have rock n roll bands that play at local sports bars so i do go out dancing almost every weekend...some things never change! I haven't been back to NY in 5 years. The last time I was there was when my oldest brother Charlie passed away from cancer on July 31, 2003. He was my rock and I miss him dearly. My Pets
I now have 4 cats and recently let my ex brother-in- law adopt the 5th, Junior. We still have Ian the orange tiger, Sadie-the lady of the house, Jack who is autistic with a neurological problem and Dereck who is the softest, sweetest male cat that loves to give kisses on your nose.
My Kids
My oldest daughter, Megan, is now 20 and living with her father. After high school she graduated from the National School of Technology in the medical billing and coding field. My youngest, Molly, just graduated from high school with honors and a 4.2 GPA. Ironically their school colors were green and gold! She will be attending the local college for her first 2 years, with a scholarship. Hopefully after that time she will have figured out what she wants to be when she grows up and transfer into a school that will be closer to Tampa. I am also lucky enough to have a step-son whom from day one just blended into our family. My daughters are thrilled to have a brother, which they both always wanted. He lives in Tampa so they don't get to see each other often but when they do it gets pretty crazy at my house. Everytime Ryan is in town, Molly ends up with a new ear piercing that i don't discovery until weeks later.
My Job
I still work at South Miami Lutheran Church, going on 13 years and have a second job working for a great couple at their landscape/waterfall business.
