Happily divorced - sold my business - retired - single mom - 24 y/o son attending college .I've never managed to attend a reunion but would like to attend the next one....just let me know. "ALL HAIL TO SAN DIEGUITO, THE ONE THAT WE ADORE" (smile!) Funny that I can still remember all the words. 50+years..... Can't believe it's been that long.
UPDATE: Turning 70 is a wonderful thing! I am a fit & decent looking gal who has turned 70, and I had been having a problem....Announcing my age was making me uncomfortable and I certainly do not feel old. 70 is another mile-stone & unfortunately, age stereotypes still exist.

t fear was that I would be perceived solely as a chronological number, not who I really am. I've earned every wrinkle & proud of it. On aging, there is the negative influence in the media, advertisements & the image of youth.
Here's another way I looked at turning 70:
I approached 60 with more apprehension, I think, and with the sense of time gone by, I've had more time to learn about myself...ten more years...I no longer fool myself....not easily anyway...know when I'm making excuses & when choices & the difference between the two...that thing about "growing old gracefully....I think now I just might be able manage it!
