Margaret's Story
Life
My Spouse
I met him at a birthday party for his mother when I was in High School 16 years old. He asked me to go steady on Feb. 6, 1959. We broke up in Oct. 1959. We met again in Nov. 1982 at a 100th Birthday party for his grandmother and got married on Feb. 6, 1983 and still very happily married.
My Pets
We have just one cat now, Oreo. We had her fixed after 6 litters but miss having kittens around.
My Kids
I have 2 sons from my first marriage, and 3 stepsons and 1 stepdaughter from my current marriage. The 6 kids get along like real brothers and sister. My youngest son who is 35 & daughter in law are expecting tripletts in November. We have 10 grandchildren.
I am updating my family. The triplets were born Oct. 7, 2001. We went from our last Class Reunion to the hospital and they were born then. More...Expand for more
grandchildren were born over the last 5 years so we now have 17.
My Job
I'm a Patient Accounts Representative for St. Mary's Hospital Medi-cal patients in the Financial Office at CHW. I retired as a Supervisor in Social Services for Alameda County and went to work doing something completely different two years ago.
Updating my work status. I retired from CHW on Jan. 27, 2006 and as of May 2006 am working 1 day a week back at CHW just to stay busy and pay for our cruises and Reno trips.....LOL
My Travels
We've been going on cruises every year for the past 15 years. Our next cruise is April 2007 on a 14 day Panama Canal Cruise. (second time) and then a New Year's Eve cruise Dec. 31, 2007 which will be a 5 day Baja/Mexico cruise. We go to Reno every year for Hot August Nights for a week at our Time Share there.
