Margaret's Story

Life My Spouse I wrote to David while he was in the Marine Corps. We met when I move to Minnesota in 1971. We married in March of 1972. We have been happily married for 37 years. Whew! That's a long time. David is a third grade teacher in our school.Christ's Household of Faith School. I am the costume coordinator and seamstress for summer drama, cabaret, elementary Christmas program, and any other costume needs for our small , private Christian school. This is all volunteer work. I enjoy the challenges for our cabaret put on by the high school each year. This last year we had one skit that was Carol Burnett, You can catch the original on utube.com . Snow White fourty years later. The costumes did turn out great and each of the kids did a wonderful job in making the hours of work worth every minute. Sewing is a great relaxing time for me. Our family started in 1973 with Hannah, now 36. She is the receptionist, trainer, accountant,[girl Friday], salesperson for Airflo and Associates. The Rainbow air cleaning , vacuum ,and shampooing system. Hannah has two daughters; Sarah,10 and Sydney,8. They spend much time at granny and papas. Marian, named after my sister Marian, class of 66, is 34. She and James have a 1 year old, Maximillion, who keeps them on the run. Marian works at the Mall of America the Rain Forest Cafe. Cecil, 32 is a starving artist and is starting up in a new travel business. Mildred, known to all as Millie, was named after my mother. She is 30, a mother of two, wife of one, and a new member of the firefighters in Newberg ,Oregon. She is in training right now but is enjoying it and hopes to continue on working for the community a large. One son, Lindberg [Lindy] 6 and Cecilia[ Sissi] 3. Her husband Dore' supports her in her work. He is a landscaper and does some home building. Ephraim 28 , is working with friends remodeling a home in the St. Paul area. He also has written a few unpublished songs and plays the acoustic guitar. Christal,26, is the mother of one son, Leo 2. She also work at the Mall with Marian. They switch off babysitting for one another to make it possible for them both to work. Samuel,24, is our all around Jack of all trades. Whatever he puts his hands to do, he accomplishes it to the best he is able. Which turns out pretty good. He was grounded in school . We gave him and electric guitar and he is self taught, all types of music. One of his first songs he learned for me was, In The Mood....Expand for more
When I hear that song it reminds me of Ray Granger playing the organ at the Village Inn, many years ago. He was Rod and Kristie's dad. Good times as Sam would say. Sam is into astrology, the Zodiac, and he is one that would take the chance at being tardy for school to come back and give me a kiss and tell me he loved me each day. He hasn't strayed too far from that even today. He is between jobs now but looking. Ruthmary,20 is receptionist for our Kitchen business at IMS in Minneapolis. She enjoys her job and is helping her computer illiterate mother set up a photo album for all classmates to view these hunnies I am describing to you. Joseph , soon to be 18, will be a senior next year. He is spending the summer on our farm, helping his dad with the horse program, that is an extended summer program for our school. David is in charge of the communities 8 horses and he has a crew of jr. and sr. high school students helping him. Preschool thru fifth grade, are rotated by class, Mon. Wed. and Fri. to our 40acre farm. There they spend the day learning whatever David sees fit to teach them about horses. Care of the animals, tack, barn ,feeding Scooter the barn cat , riding the horses /lead by one of the horse crew around the pasture , into the woods, down to the lake and back. They also go on a wagon ride pulled by a team of four, around the lake. eat lunch and swim in the cold lake. It is a blessing for all, parents kids teachers alike. I enjoy watching the grand kids on occasion. Some may not understand , others may be of a separate mind set, but my life is at peace, knowing that my Heavenly Father is in control of all that goes on in this world. He created it and us, sustains it all and only he knows the outcome in the end. I am not ashamed to speak about what I believe. It is sad that God has been taken out of our schools, government, and denied by many that He even exists. The United States was founded by the Faith of our founding fathers. How desensitized and ignorant man has come in the last years. I believe that we exist for God and his purpose , not God existing for us and what we want. I don't want to offend anyone by speaking out my beliefs and I am sorry if it has, but I would not be true to God, or to myself if I did not voice it . I won't hide, and live a lie to keep my friends. Love me or leave me, but I Stand for truth and all that it includes. God being truth. Enough said today, God Bless You All Margaret
