Margaret's Story
Update: 2/15/2012 Well, I've become a grandmother!! Hard to believe. When I hear the term "grandmother" I instantly think of MY mother. I'm to young for this. But darn, he is a beautiful baby. My son Jacob became a father on 2/9/2012 to a beautiful, perfect baby boy, 8# 8oz and named Elijah. I cried when Jacob placed him in my arms and instantly fell in love again, just like when I had my own babies. Another adventure in life!!
Recently relocated back to Bay City. Single again. Attended Delta College and graduated from SVSU from the Nursing Program. Currently working as an Occupational Health Nurse at Bay City PowerTrain. Have worked in ER and Medical/Surgical departments of hospitals. Wanted to try something different where I don't have to work holidays, week-ends, or get snowed in at work!!!!!
Three sons that are "launched". No grandchikdren yet. . . I'm too young to be a Grandmother!!!!!
Update: 9/24/11 Getting lots of experience in occupational health nursing. I am now oriented to 6 different plants and have just returned from a 2 week stint in Lake Orion. Very busy medical department there!! Been working so much overtime that I now wonder where in the world did the summer go???!!! Time to close the pool. Sure do love looking out over my "cement ...Expand for more
pond", wish I could have used it more this year. . .
Now I'm making plans for vacation. Hope to go to the Bahamas for 2 weeks.
Will write more later. . .
Back from the Bahamas. . . WOW, sun, sand, turquoise water, Kalik (Bahamian beer), Gumbays (secret island rum drink), Cuban cigars, power boat to Exumas islands for feeding of the iguanas, stingrays, and sharks, snorkeling over coral reefs, casino at Atlantis on Paradise Island, watching the practice of the Valley Boys for Junkanoo, shopping, shopping, shopping, and met new friends from England, Scotland, Boston/Cape Cod, and Michigan. So lots of new friends to visit!!!! Sat outdoors (of course) one evening in neighborhood tavern and chatted with the Minister of Cultural Affairs and another elected offical from Parliment. Apparently where I stayed ( Westwind 1 on Cable Beach) is the neighborhood where the majority of Parliment reside.
Brought back lots of souveniers for family, friends and co-workers. The candy jars that I maintain in my medical department were empty. So many employees stopped in to welcome me back, said they missed me. . . or was it the candy?????? LOL
If anyone is reading of my escapades, let me know. I don't do the Facebook/Myspace thing, too Big Brotherish. Or can you convince me otherwise???
