Margery's Story
Moved to Naples in 1984 from Arlington Hts, Ill. Resided in Quincy, Pittsfield, Jacksonville, Matton (all in Ill) and St. Louis befpre moving to Fla. Have 4 children and 4 grandchildren. Taught in various schools along with our early moves. Husband, August, worked for Amoco Oil ( now BP) before early retirement and health issues. He died in November, 1985. Daughter, Amy Thorson and family live in Tampa. Linda Duran lives (newly retired) in Springfield, Ill. Barbara will soon be making a move to Naples from Coral Gable, Fl. Brian lives in Naples. I have retired from the "golf circuit" and now volunteer at the information desk of Naples hospital. Also chaired the annual Peoria Forever...Expand for more
get together for 7 years. Life has had its usual ups and downs, but am blessed with no major health problems-just retire earlier in the evenings.Life has provided many trips to foreign and local sights as well as cruising ( a more relaxed way to go).
Both brothers, Roland (40) and William L.(44) are deceased. Enjoy hearing from friends and am ever so grateful that I learned to use the computer as it has provided a great many contacts and renewed friendships.
While living in Arlington Hts, Ill., someone etched in a fresh cement sidewalk, "Peoria Forever" I had nothing to do with that incident, but did use it as a name for our February Peoria gatherings.
