Margie's Story
I am now a full time grandma and great grandma. I have 2 little guys. My youngest grandson is Ian. He will be 4 Dec. 1st. My first natural great grandson is Nick. He will be 3 Dec 5th. They have been a big part of my life since their birth.
I had a Halloween party for all of the grand kids that are close by. One of the games they liked best was getting gummie worms out of a pan of whipped cream with out using their hands. Every ones face was full of whipped cream. A lot of laughter and mess. Then my little Ia...Expand for more
n called me to him with his eyes just gleaming. I took off my glasses and bent down to him. He grinned real big and put his pan of whipping cream right in my face. He laughed so hard.
I do not know who enjoyed the party the most. The kids or me. I do not have any memories of good honest simple fun with my parents. I am glad God has granted me the ability to have this time with them.
Everyone calls this the golden years. My cousin Conni calls it the rusty years. I call it my first childhood. I am having a ball.
