Margie's Story
Life
My Life.... what an assignment. My life has been full! Many curves in the road, lots of pot holes, but an adventure. I guess if anyone is really interested, we can talk about that in person.
School
I graduated from Englewood High School in 1969. Played a year at Valdosta State College, got married and attended the School of Life and Hard Knocks, finally at the age of 40 graduated from Darton College with a degree in Nursing.
Workplace
Currently I am a Retired Mental Health Nurse for the State of Georgia...
Family
The last 8 years have been a time of growth. My priorities changed and life has a new meaning. My son has served three tours in Iraq and this last deployment was Afganistan. He retires before his next tour date comes up. That has had a great...Expand for more
impact on my family. . My son and my daughter have both grown into adults that I respect and have great admiration for. Amy is a single Mom of two. She is an RN like her mom... The best ER and now Hospice nurse anyone could want in a time of crisis and the best Mom my two grands could have. It is a blessing when you can look at your kids and realize that they are adults that you are proud to say are your kids. And Mike, he truly my Hero, how many Moms can say that about their sons or daughters? God Bless all of our Troops.
And my Mother. Truly the Matriarch of our family. A lady of strength and courage who has loved and supported her children, grandkids, and now her great-grandkids with heaping helping of unconditional love. I am blessed to call her Mother.
