Maria's Story
Reading is (now that I have time) an absolute passion! I read 5 or 6 books a week. My favorite authors are Lee Child (he has a new Jack Reacher book coming out in June or July), James Lee Burke, Harlan Coben and Ed McBain. Each of these authors are/were prolific writers. When I'm not reading I love to travel . . . I'm making my first trip to Italy in February. Traveling with four friends. So the trip should be quite an adventure.
After writing this, I checked out "story ideas" to the right. The one "Life doesn't always turn out the way you expect. What's been your biggest surprise?" piqued my interest. Update: I met and married a wonderful man, Cal Laborde, April 18,2012. We met on Catholic Match.com and immediately knew we had found another chance at happiness. We love to travel and love our dogs. So now we are a family of four . . . Cal, me. Fritz (wire hair dachshund) and Zeke (wheaten terrier). Fortunately they are great travelers. We take them on all road trips. They missed going to Alaska (we went by ship) and Hawaii since they don't like to fly! Needless to say I am down to one book a day!
