Maria's Story
Life
Well, let's see ... I got married in 1988. I then became a step-mother to a daughter. From there the husband and I moved to Chicago, then back to Vegas, then back to Chicago, then to Ohio. Things with him got really bad as he got hooked on drugs so I told him I was leaving him and he tried to kill me. So I moved back home to Vegas where I stayed for 4 years, trying to get my divorce. I then moved back to Ohio and I had a nervous breakdown. I moved to Virginia Beach to "find" myself. I got things "right" in my head and moved back to Ohio. because my dad died. From there I had to move my mom out here with me. A couple of days after I returned back to Ohio, with mother in tow, I met the love of my life. We have been together ever since. At current moment we live together and I am still trying to get my divorce from the drug husband. It has only been 10 years that I have been trying to do that and I do believe that will happen this year finally. It has been a bumpy road but then again so was my time in school. Those of you who know me know that to be true. I finally have things going forward and I look forward to a good life with my soon-to-be-husband.
