Maria's Story
Professionally: Earned a BS in chemistry from the University of California-Irvine and an MS in chemistry from the University of Montana (Missoula) - worked as a chemist in Montana and California, before becoming a writer and photographer in 1995, when I moved to Boise, ID. I'm presently a medical writer for Healthwise, Inc., writing medical information for the web (check out WebMD and YahooHealth). Also exhibit photography at galleries and businesses in Boise and other cities in Idaho. Recently had a photo accepted for an exhibit at the Boise Art Museum.

son in 1984 (Christmas Eve!), who went on to earn a degree in math from the University of Washinton (Seattle) where he was Phi Beta Kappa. Have a Russian "daughter" (Marianna) who has lived with me for 5 years. Marianna is presently a computer science major at Boise State University. Occasionally go to Russia to hang out with her parents Viktor and Natalia, who are way cool. I have 7 pet snakes (4 corn snakes, an albino king snake, a milk snake, and a ball python). I run (with my Weimaraner Shadow), read, garden, cook, travel, hike, backpack. I love the Sonoran desert. I enjoy good vodka. I watch Star Trek.
