Maria's Story
I moved from NY to Virginia in 1994, and then to NC. I have been here for 13 years. I married my husband Jason in 1995, when I was 30 (He was only 25). Jason and I are both Occupational Therapists. We both graduated from Keuka College in NY. He works in inpatient rehab and I am a rehab manager in a long term care facility.

were unsure if we could ever have children. Through lots of tests, I found out that it was me that could not have children, so my best friend here in NC, offered to carry babies for us. She carried 2 sets of twins for us ( a girl and a boy each time) in 2003.
We lost all of them. :( Heartbroken, we decided to adopt from China. Feb. 21st of 2005, we adopted our beautiful daughter Mia. She turned 1 the day before we left China to come home and will be 4 in March of 2008.
