Mariah's Story
Life
My life started 26 years ago some cold and rainy friday night between 10 and 11pm. The best night of my life, I was born. I took my time growing up and still do. Some people tell me I am just a baby when they here me tell my age and others really dont believe me. I dont even believe it myself sometimes. It seems like yesterday when I was fighting with my friend over who's Barbie had better clothes or that I was taking finals. I really have to say I am amazed with life, 26 years may seem small in comparison to someone who is 80 but in those years I have seen, done, loved, lost love,and so many other things. As I look back most people say how they would do many things differently, I have always said I would of too but I really do not think I would. Maybe the college thing, I would not have put it off for so long but other than that I have had a really great time learning about life. It sucked at times, losing loved ones, I knew they would not live forever but that does not tstop the pain. I also have seen 3 births of the 6 nieces and nephews that I have, going to West Virginia for one of them and it is truly an amazing experience. I am looking forward to the next one that is due in April. They really keep me busy and thank goodness they all live in Texas now. All my nieces and nephews say I am their favorite and they love and I love them. But man where does the time go. Time really starts moving fast when kids are around. Christopher one of my nephews is 6 and started the first grade this year. I remember him coming home from the hospital and laying on my belly. Then theres Austin and man is he busy and a nut for video games thank God I only have two nephews stuck to the tube. Batman is all the rave at our house. Then Marshall he is 4 and my little buddy with Red Hair. We nicknamed him Chucky you know Chucky phew his attitude. Just this morning he hauled off and hit my 19 yr old nephew in the head. LOL. give kisses. Each one of them has a special name for me, one of my favorites is MiMi, and AuMay. Not to be tooting my own horn but my nephew Chris learned to say my name before Mama, i thought my sister was going to kill me. That is where AuMay came from. Those days seem far and few between<-- I know what that means now. There is much I know now that WOW is so different. Never in a Million years would I have thought I would be where I am today. Yes sometimes I wish I could go back and then I have to kick myself in the head for thinking that way. We are where we are suppose to be and I am thankful. If i had went back and changed anything I probably would be a much different person and wouldn't be my nieces and nephews FAVORITE aunt. Other than time and location not much has changed for me. I still love the same but I am just a little older and smarter. I have not made it to mid life crisis yet so I have something to look forward to, LOL. It is fall already and man I never knew how busy I would be with my family. From the time August rolls around until maybe mid February I attend parties, birthdays, Holidays and just friends in general. I also am a Little League Coach for soccer, which is soo much fun. I think this year my nephews are starting Karate. My knee hurts thinking about it. I haven't exactly followed the plan that I set out in Success class so many years ago but the different turns have made all worth while. I cant wait to see what is in store over the next 25 years. Halloween is steady on my heels and I cant wait to see all the kids costumes. This year I think I will be a princess. LOL
Military
I am not in the Military but my brother is, right now he is in a camp over seas; I miss him so much. he says it is not as bad as people make it out to be but then I have not been there myself and have to take his word for it. 3 years ago when he signed up for Iraq duty he thought the war would be over, little did he know he would still go. Now we just talk and pray for all of the troops safety and return.
