Marian's Story
Life
I got married in August, 1999 and had my first child, a girl (Mackenzie) September 1, 2000 (3 weeks early). Built a house in Manhattan, IL in 2001 and had my second child, a boy (Marc) March 12, 2002. When Mackenzie was born, I went back to work for 2 months and was laid off with a nice severence. I decided to give staying home a try and have been ever since. I now work from home for an insurance company.
College
Took some night classes at SSC but I enjoyed working so I decided not to go to college.
Workplace

ew job at another insurance agency called Aon Risk Services, Inc. of IL, Healthcare Team. Area of insurance is medical malpractice for physicians and other healthcare providers. Another area of the company, Aon Healthcare Specialists, requested I join their team. Still keep in touch with the two VPs there...awsome people to work with. The director of healthcare at Aon laid me off in December, 2000 which turned out to be the best thing that happened - I've been fortunate enough to stay home with my kids and in 2004, an insurance company formed in St. Louis offered me a job as an independant contractor to work from home doing underwriting for professional liability insurance (med mal).
