Marianne's Story
Rodney and I got married in october 1989, and since then have acquired a son, a daughter, two dogs, a house and all the good stuff that goes along with them. I work one (very long!) day a week delivering newspapers and the other six days a week taking care of all of the above! Not very exciting on paper, I guess, but excitement may be overrated.
Over the years i have worked in fast food, doctor's offices, the cable company, and in health insurance, and I have to say that the current arrangement suits me fine. info so the insurance company doesn't have to pay. I left my insurance job in 1995, and I still celebrate the anniversary! When the time comes to work full-time again, I just want to feel that I accomplish something real every day. I don't know what, but that's what I really want.
For now, the kids are teenagers, both in high school, one almost old enough to drive, and keeping track of them and their stuff is a big job in itself. I am very grateful that I have the opportunity to do it, though. They may both be gone in a few years, and I want them to be ready when they go. I'll see about the next job when this one is done!
