Life
I’ve been in Maryland since 1988, first in Columbia and then in Baltimore City (1997) and Baltimore County (2006), where I currently live. I’ve lived 5 states, including New York - Connecticut, Michigan, Massachusetts and finally Maryland. I have two married daughters and four granddaughters, ages 15-22. I worked for the Federal government for over 30 years as an economist with the Army Corps of Engineers (in New England, Baltimore, and Alexandria). I moved to the DC Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Civil Works in 2003 (oversight for the COE) and worked for two different Presidential appointees (Bush and Obama administrations) and retired from that office in March 2016. ars on July 1 st. I’m still involved in music and released a jazz CD in 2014 entitled "Somewhere in Paradise". Looking to record another project in 2021-2022. I am also a producer and local jazz preservationist/activist. Howard and have produced our jazz house concert series, Jazzway 6004 since June 2007, and were featured in Downbeat Magazine, Jazz Times and other publications. We’ve also renovated about a dozen houses in the Baltimore area and are avid travelers. We spent two summers (2016 and 2017) traveling across the US visiting National Parks and major cities, and spent a month in Santa Fe, New Mexico, which we fell in love with. But however tempting, we love it here in Maryland and will probably stay put, as I’m happy to be near family, especially my children and grandchildren.
