We are now living in the land of the rising sun! We moved from Guam to Yokosuka Japan on July 2nd. It hasn't been too much of a culture shock since we have already been introduced into the Asian culture while living in Hawaii and Guam. In fact, I would prefer to stay overseas and not return to CONUS to live. Anyway, there are so many wonderful things about Japan. It is extremely safe here....especially if you have children. It is not uncommon to find 4 or 5 yr olds riding the train alone to school every day. Can you imagine letting your kids do this in Houston? Haha....I think not. The people are wonderful, the food is fantastic and the public transportation is quick and reliable. We are going to have an amazing two years!

o be a stay at home mom. The children are really growing. Our youngest son is now 4 yrs old and will start kindergarten in one month! We also have a beautiful 11 year old daughter entering 6th grade and a 20 year old son who is living in Las Vegas and working for Clark County in IT. I'm sure we'll find him moving to Japan soon. : )
My husband is a physician and Captain in the US Navy. He is now the new Commanding Officer (CO) of Naval Hospital Yokosuka. He assumed command on July 10th 2008. We are so proud of him! He is an amazing Naval officer and husband!

Washington DC, Bethesda & Silver Spring, Maryland, Charleston, South Carolina, Oceanside, California, Oahu, Hawaii and Santa Rita, Guam.
