Marie Kaikuana:  

Life Bio for Marie M. Kaikuana. Born and raised on the Big Island of Hawaii. Attended Keaukaha Elementary, Hilo Intermediate, and Hilo High Schools' (Received diploma in May,1979). Attended Hawaii Community College/University of Hawaii (Received AA Degree in Liberal Arts and a Cert. in Business Management in May, 1982). Joined the US Army in Oct.,1983, thru' March,1990 (Obtained the rank of Sergeant-Promotable-E5). Attended Drill Sergeant Academy, performed duties as Drill Corporal, was selected as the Equal Opportunity Rep., attended the Primary Leadership course, e.g. I was stationed in Ft. Jackson, SC; Ft. Leavenworth,KS and worked with the Air Force, Marines, and Navy top officials, and Ft. Shafter,HI. While persuing my military career, I instructed Physical Fitness, Combat Readiness, Administrative, and Leadership training. Worked undercover for Military Intellingence as well as Counterintelligence. Played co-ed softball, volleyball, and ran track all during my military career. I have a wonderful son "Uikirifi" and two grandchildren Keanu & Teiya. After completing my military obligation, I resided in Oak Park, MI. I instructed the Hula as well as Martial Arts throughout Michigan. I was also employed at one of the Casino's for 12 years.I published my first book in 2004: "Poems & Haiku's from the Heart".
