Marie's Story
Life
Hi,
After high school, I married Allan Collier, from Carlsbad. I worked at O'Neal Motors for 10 years and he worked for the Carlsbad Ambulance Service before going to the State Police Academy in 1981. When he graduated from there we moved to Clovis and have lived here ever since. He retired from NMSP in Dec 2001 with 20 years on the force.
Things can change pretty quickly at times. Since my orginal posting 6 years ago. My son is now 23 and we have a wonderful new grandson named Aydan. He is currently 4 months old.
I took an excellent job in Artesia. Yes, I said Artesia!! I've been living here since Dec. 07 and work for Tate Branch Dodge Chrysler Jeep as the Comptroller. I also oversee our second store in Hobbs of the same name. I was a wonderful opportunity and I couldn't be happier.

still in Clovis and we hope to get him moved down by the end of the year. He will be closer to his mom & dad in Carlsbad.
Other than that, we love camping, fishing, and the outdoors in general. I enjoy reading, taking photographs and playing with my Grandson.
Update: 9/11/09
My grandson Aydan is now 17 months old and he has a new baby brother who is 1 month old. They are both wonderful and I don't get to see them near as much I want to.
Allan finally got moved in Oct 08 and we are waiting to build a new home in Artesia. He plays at being "retired" but seems to always be doing something. We have 2 concession businesses we do at events and Arts & crafts festivals that keep us very busy most every weekend.
Other than that, we are extremely happy here in Artesia. We enjoy spending time with our friends.
