Marie's Story
I hope my oldest friends remember me as light-hearted
and friendly--I imagine my high school friends, with whom the majority I have lost touch, remember me
as dependent and impressionable.
I always wanted to be a mother when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was an ordinary idea. As it turns out, they were wrong.
I blow off steam with a good run or a quiet glass of Merlot. The wildest thing I ever did in school was probably "escape" mid-day with a friend while being
chased by the "parking-lot pig" whom we ditched inside
of the middle school en route to Westmar Plaza.
If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have a lot of work, many goals, and positive people to be able to deal with the day-to-day....Expand for more
My mother is my hero. She lost her battle with Breast Cancer 7 years ago yet many days it seems like yesterday. She loved life, people and made the best of every situation. She became my best friend over the last 3 years of her life and left a devastating void, yet gave me the tools to emulate her to the best of my ability.
My two children have taught me more that I ever could have imagined. Our 23year old son Ryan, who is career military brought to our lives a beautiful German daughter in law along with a sweet grand daughter has given us the courage to fly around the
world for semi annual visits and experience cultures
that we never imagined. Our daughter, Morgan, who
weighed 2lbs at birth we NEVER dreamed
