Marie's Story
I am a hospice nurse and live in the country between New Braunfels and Canyon Lake, Texas. We have a plumbing business and my husband team ropes. We have horses, roping steers, 3 peacocks, 6 peahens, four dogs and two cats. I work one week on and one week off.
I hope my friends remember me as being a good friend. I always wanted to be a nurse when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a good idea. I stayed with Leo Sulak as much as I could when he was in the hospital having knee surgery and his mother said I would probably end up being a nurse. As it turns out she was right.
My favorite way to relax is horseback riding and quilting.
The wildest thing I ever did in school was skip school with James Harrison one day. We went to the beach and we got caught.
My hero is my mother. She...Expand for more
passed away when I was 30 years old and I miss her a lot. She was 59 years old. I have inherited her heart disease and now have four stents in one of the arteries of my heart. Thank goodness for medical technology although I had to go through the whole ordeal of the doctors thinking it was something else besides my heart for months until I got treatment.
I lived in Singapore, Indonesia, Louisiana, Mississippi and Katy, Texas when married to Les Porter.
I would love to see Mrs. Gee. She was my Biology teacher.
If I won a $100million I'd buy a big ranch in the middle of nowhere and then share the rest with family and friends.
I worked at Photo Mat in high school and got robed by the southwest rapist when I was working at a store on Westhemier. I had to pick him out of a line up. It was scary!
