Marie's Story
What have I done since Royal Oak days? Well, I attended college and after graduating I joined LA's finest rather than follow my intention (FBI). I make more money (good thing) and I met the love of my life doing so. Today I have 23 years of service and a handsome 14 year old boy with my husband, a captain of the same occupation with 33 years of service. How blessed I am.
We live in Palos Verdes Peninsula, California (south bay) with retirement 3 years away. When we presently have the time, we spend weekends at our Lake Arrowhead cabin.

ncy Control. I enjoy working with juveniles at-risk where I get much self-gratification. My hobbies are living vicariously through our son, throwing a football and a baseball now and then, and photography. I am a home-body so cleaning house is an outlet of mine. Or going for a walk.
With a boy starting high school, I often reminisce. Thank goodness he likes sports as much as I do.
I must add that I was on pain medication opioids for a work injury and re in jury and subsequent to my dependence completed residential treatment at Pasadena Recovery Center. Wow! I returned to shooting hoops.
So that's me in a nutshell.
