Marillyn's Story

Life Since leaving St. Mary's in 1946, I attended art school in Detroit and Los Angeles, and have managed careers as portrait artist, electromechanical designer, technical illustrator, and technical writer. I owned an art school, gallery and design agency in Winter Park, Florida, taught commercial art in Orlando and also, later, at Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa, Ca. My engineering career extended from The Bullpup and LaCrosse missiles, through Apollo One, and into various computer manufacturing firms, including Apple, where I developed and documented manufacturing procedures for the Keyboard Division for Apple II, III, and Mac. Later, I became Technical Publications Manager for Archive Corporation. I owned an advertising agency in Westminster, CA, called Camart Design, doing advertis...Expand for more
ing for a number of different types of firms, from clothing shops to electronic manufacturers, insurance agencies, body bulders and surfers to home developers and builders. It was a very diverse group. I now operate an art school, Visual Arts, in Orange County, California and most recently have started a stone tile mural business. You can see some of my designs on my website, but I have just been informed that I cannot list the address. I am still on the Board of Directors at OCFA, as past president and Director of Community Liaison. In addition, I received my Ph.D. in Hypnotherapy about 20 years ago and continue my Hypnotherapy practice along with all the other things. Still work about 80 hours a week, with no sign of retirement in the near, or for that matter, distant future.
