Life
Wife, mother, teacher, slave ... what more could a woman want? I graduated from San Jose State in 1971 and acquired my teaching credentials in secondary education. (No, I didn't teach then ... I waited 25 years to take up the profession and now I teach 8th grade language arts at Castillero Middle School here in San Jose.) I love what I do, and I can't believe that I waited so long. I have been married to my husband Jim for 23 years and we have 2 young children. Our son John is 15 and our son Bennett is 13. nce high school ... except for the wrinkles ... but I still miss being in Oakdale. I truly loved growing up there and I wish I could have kept up more of the friendships that I had from my childhood. I avidly read the Oakdale Leader ... it keeps me up to date. It also saddens me to see how much our little town is beginning to look like the bigger cities ... strip malls, fast foods and various conglomerates ... they all take away from the beauty that was once ours. Well, that's about it. I have to go do lesson plans ... geez ... I don't even have plans for a retirement at this point. I just pray that my health holds out. Love ya all ... Pidge.
