Marilyn's Story

I play in three bands, Paradise Road, Transcontinental Blues Band, and an acoustic blues duo, Mama B & Freight Train. We produced a CD of original material in 2010. I have two beautiful girls from my first marriage, and I have 2 beautiful granddaughters who I adore! I worked for SaskTel for 26 years, Long & McQuade Music for 2-3 years, and I am now an Educational Assistant in the Public School system. So I guess I'm back...Expand for more
at school! I love the breaks I get, and it works well with my music career. My motto is, "We don't stop playing because we are old. We grow old because we stop playing." I haven't heard from my old friends like Delores in years. I still keep in touch with Ethel, and have recently reconnected with my friend Kathy. If anyone hears from any of the old friends let me know what's happening with them. Peace and love, Marilyn

Throwback Thursday, the first band I was asked to join as a lead singer in 1996. I miss Marcel's passion for music. Whenever I looked over at him playing his bass he always had a big smile on his face. RIP.

My talented friend Mike Mapes version of a picture of me. I remember this picture being taken at a Paradise Road gig on our break, but I don't recall this fabulous view...Thanks Mike! I like it! :-)
