Susan's Story
Life
I am a teacher and coach at Westfield High School and am doing my best to carry on Jerry Whitaker's work! I've been blessed with lots of great kids in the last 30 years of teaching & coaching...one of the best parts being, when they act up I can send them home! I actually had the pleasure of making it to the state tournament in 00-01 and 01-02. I never realized as a player how incredible it was to have been to state all four years ...that is until I tried to get there as a coach. I enjoy working with this age group, there is never a dull moment!...Expand for more
I live in Spring Texas, close enough to my family to visit often. As a teacher, I've had the luxury of time to travel in the summers. I enjoy the wonders of nature through hiking, bird watching, photography, jogging and biking. Some favorite places are the Grand Canyon and any where in Colorado!
We recently had a reunion at Donny Jones' house in Winnie and the reality hit us all that time is flying...how can it have been 34 years since we graduated! Time flies when you're having fun!! It was fun to hear about the journeys we have all had since we left!
