Marilyn's Story
Life
After I graduated, I moved to Dallas and began working at Southwestern Bell. I worked there for 12 years and then my husband and I moved to Rochester, NY and lived there from 1977 to 1993. We moved back to Garland, Tx. and lived there for 7 months. We then bought property in Murchison, Tx (seven miles east of Athens). We have two daughters and four grandchildren. I always wanted to be a fashion designer when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a great idea. As it turns out, they were right..
If I had it to do over, I would have gone to college after high school and studied forensics. I don't think that was a mainstream career when I graduated. It is such an interesting subject.
The weirdest job I ever had was pollinating flowers at a plant nursery in Rochester, NY.
