Marilyn's Story
I am a Real Estate Broker, own my own business. Worked in Real Estate for 25-30 years, then semi-retired. Most peoplein in Real
Estate find it hard to fully retire, I know why now! i then started travelling as much as possible and have been able to go to Europe 3 times, Russia, Thailand, Netherlands and other exotic places,so I feel blessed. 7 Yesrs ago I had a stroke which left me paralyzed on my left side. I have been in physical therapy Care Centers for about 4 years learning to walk again. I am walking with hemi-walker(one handed walker, as my left arm & hand are paralyzed. i am going to get a device which will help my arm have feeling again and return to normal eventually (Myopro). I am still working on balance in order to walk by myself. I will probably need a cane o...Expand for more
r the hemi-walker to walk safely without falling. i fell once and broke my arm.(don’t want to do that again!). i hope to leave the Care Center Reham/hospital in about 6 months, hopefully. i am feeling well and grateful for the help I am receiving. I am very anxious to get home. Living in a Care center is not fun, food sucks, like most hospitals, among other problems, being locked in, due to Covid, etc. I have a few other medical issues to me addressed enforce I return home, but overall,I am doing fine and want to go home to Lake County, as soon as the Soctor & physical therapy release me. I am exercising and doing physical therapy daily, in order to get well.. God bless all my fellow schoolmates; wishing you health and happiness. Hopefully I can make it to next class reunion!
