Marilyn's Story
Life
Since graduation I have been a 5th grade, Jr. High, and High School Physical Education teacher. I have also coached at the Jr. High level. I have also taught 9th-11th grade English and 6th grade language/reading. I ended my teaching career in 2010 after teaching 35 years. I now substitute each here in Gatesville.
My husband, Charles Alderson (LHS class of 64),and I have one daughter, Cara, who is now 18. . We are what you might call "older parents." Ha. We were not able to have ...Expand for more
her until we had been married 19 years. She is a true "miracle." We just celebrated 37wedding anniversary in March. She is now a freshman biology major at Texas A&M University. Gig 'em Aggies!.
We enjoy traveling and camping in our 5th wheel trailer. My husband and I were both in the education business, but we also farm and ranch on a small scale.
I enjoy reading, cooking, and playing computer games.
Other than getting my master's degree in 1986, I have not returned to Tarleton.
