Marilyn's Story
Life
Born on Valentine's Day, 1941, I've lived through Pearl Harbor, World War II, the Korean conflict, Viet Nam era, etc. I appreciate my country very much.
Having traveled throughout Europe, and somewhat in the Mideast, there is a very strong love for the United States when I return home!
I taught elementary school for 10 years, subbed and volunteered in schools for another ten. Have since worked for a local newspaper, radiation oncologists, dentists, ophthalmologist, and presently 5-1/2 years for a dermatologist--clerical and insurance billing "specialist".
Married in 1968, have two sons: 28 and 30. My wonderful husband worked for GM for 35 y...Expand for more
ears, including 2 years in the Army--with time in Viet Nam, as medic in 85th Evacuation Hospital, Qui Nhon. Since retirement in 1997, he has found he LOVES being a teacher's aide in a 4-year old preschool setting! Kids LOVE having a "grandpa" in the room!
Sons are still single. Love 'em dearly!
Have worked 3 times as short-term missionary (with hubby) in Latvia and Bethlehem, Palestine. Hubby also went to Hoonah, Alaska, last summer for a program there, working with children in a VBS setting.
Life has had ups and downs. Have experienced two breast cancers...last one, 1997. Mighty thankful the Lord heals! He is indeed faithful in ALL things.
