Marina's Story
As Junior class president I remember writing the lyrics to our class song to the tune of Herb Albert's the "Lonely Bull" - 'In a town in Los Angeles on a hill is where they stay, They have courage and daring, and they're known as the Toreadors.' As Student Body Secretary I remember standing in the arcaded corridor tasked with handing out uniform tickets, pretending when I could, not to notice the rainbow colored shoe strings and calico patterned pockets and hems sewn up with red thread. As Gentian's Drama Club secretary I remember all the family uproar when Sister wrote a passion play orchestrated with the Beatles songs.

gh Mexico and Central America for about 6 months. Then moved to Maui Hawaii for the next 12 years. Got involved in the natural healing arts and spiritual studies: yoga, meditation and an all-religions investigation. Ultimately the search led to an understanding that Divine is always within and that the journey is one of aligning the ideal with what experiences Life grants you. Eventually settled on 3 serene, forested acres in Oregon with interests in horticulture/ gardening and landscape sketching. Worked most my life in healthcare as a clinician, nursing instructor and agency director. Currently interested in social rights, how to advocate for humane justice within current systems and in the evolution of the same.
Would love to hear from any and all IHHS contemporaries.
