Marion's Story

Life Hi. I'm still in South Florida, which is where I landed after college. I worked for the Fort Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel for 32 years as a reporter, editorial writer and an editor until I was layed off in July 2008. I then worked part-time as an assistant city clerk. Everglades restoration. We have a son, Travis, who is 30. He is an entrepreneur with an online business. I have been very active in my community for the past 25 or so years, working on traffic calming projects, historic preservation and the neighborhood civic association.
