Mark's Story
Life
Well, what to say. After my hated high school years, I generally spent time getting drunk and into trouble. Graduated from Mid-State Tech in 1987 as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic. Divorced my wife and moved to Charlotte, NC, working for Schneider. Quit, bounced around a little more, started my own business. Joined the Army in 1992, wound up spending 12+ years, mostly in Special Operations. Married 2 more times, divorced 2 more times. Got out while doing my 3rd tour in Iraq. I miss the Airborne Brotherhood, but it's all good. Still married now, two kids, Samuel born in 2004 and Thomas in 2006. Life is good. I still work for the Government in Monterey, California. h rocks. Ride my Harley's when I get the chance. Hopefully will get back to hunting and fishing when the kids are older to enjoy the sport. Have a wonderful, beautiful wife. Travel to Europe a lot.
Well, in January 2008 I took a position working for American Forces Network South in Vicenza, Italy. Life in Italy is fun and it feels good to be back in Europe. I am back at the base where I did Jumpmaster school in 2000, and it has changed immensely. Nice being only an hour from the beaches of the Adriatic and about 3-4 hours from the Med. Venice is 45 minutes and offers some wonderful sight-seeing. Been riding the Harley a lot, having brought it down from Germany. May never leave here.
