Mark Campbell:  

Mark was born in Rome, New York, in 1956, the second of two boys. In 1965 the family moved to Midwest City, Oklahoma, where they lived until the family moved to Kailua in 1967 and both boys attended Kailua schools. In 1975, Mark and his family moved back to the mainland, returning to Midwest City Oklahoma, and finally settling in Big Spring Texas. In the fall of 1975, Mark was hired as the Building Inspector for the City of Big Spring, where he worked until 1981. During this time, Mark studied and passed national certifications as Building, Electrical, Zoning, Public Works Inspectors, and Texas licensing for Plumbing Inspector. In the summer of 1981, he advanced to the position of Building Official in Levelland Texas (truly level land) where he married Ruth Atchison, from Big Spring in 1981. Together they raised Ruth's daughter Jaimie, who was 4 years old and together celebrated the birth of Ashley in 1987 after moving back to Midwest City. Mark started M&S MicroSystems in 1990, selling custom built PCs, and providing In-Store and On-Site service to the local business community. After his father’s death in June 1991, Mark closed his store and continued providing on-call service on a limited basis. Mark’s disabled mother required Mark’s daily attention and consumed a good part of his time.
