Mark's Story

Well, what can I say...... After graduating, went a semester to Frank Tech...didn't go for it, so worked at Jim's Grocery for a while until I took over management at the gas station. During which time I got married to Melissa (Oct. 1989). In the spring of 1991, moved to Liberal, KS, where I've been since. I attended Seward County Community College and obtained my Associates Degree in Respiratory Therapy. I started working at Southwest Medical Center in October of 1991. I worked my way through the ranks of student, floor therapist, sleep diagnostician, pulmonary / cardiac / neurologic diagnostician, supervisor, interim director, and finally department director (the boss for 7 years now). I am a Registered Respirator...Expand for more
y Therapist (RRT) and Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT). I am director of the Cardiopulmonary Department, Home Medical Equipment, and Sleep Disorders Laboratory. I am Co-chairman (of 7 years) of the hospitals Social and Recreation committee and numerous other committes. I recently attended a class through the University of Kansas and achieved my title of Certified Public Manager (CPM). My greatest achievement was to have my son Zachary in 1997. Decided to stop there since the old saying, "You get paid back 10 times what you were like." This is SOOOOOOOOOOOOO not true! It's 100 times!! But I wouldn't trade him for anything. Well, better quit boring you. Drop me an email at marmelza at yahoo dot com.
