sfunctions of the person. I felt limited as a chiropractor when it came to the physical deficiencies of man; chiropractic is efficacious in many ways but it can only accomplish so much. To treat a physical problem effectively the cause of the disorder must be eliminated and not just the easing of symptoms; mental and spiritual disorders must be looked at as possible etiologies for somatic complaints, Jesus proved this many times in His healing miracles. With this in mind, I retired from chiropractic to return to graduate school [at age 50] to pursue a Masters degree in Pastoral Care & Counseling. I chose a seminary setting to obtain this level of education to combine psychology and theology in a effort to better understand human behavior. I've enjoyed my time as a counselor treating the mental aspects of the person and all the ramifications of such but I still felt as if there was more. I have felt drawn into the ministry, a calling [feeling] I've had since I was a young boy. I answered that call and I am currently a Pastor in the United Methodist Church. At this stage of my metamorphysis into BEING instead of just DOING, I feel very much at peace with who I am.".
