Life
The Bio of Mark H. Dixon
Exactly 1 month after High School Graduation, 2 things changed my life. 1st, I accepted Christ as my Lord and Savior and 2nd, I began attending Heald Institute of Technology, in Concord, Calif., where I received an Associates of Applied Science Degree in Electronics Technology after 18 months. In 1986, with 1 month of school left, I was employed by a Fire Suppression company in Pleasanton, Calif. where I commuted to and from while still residing in Fairfield.
In 1988 I decided to pursue a dream and began taking acting classes at the Jean Shelton School of Acting in San Francisco, Calif. 1 year later I went to Los Angeles, Calif., my birthplace, and auditioned for the part of Russell in the play called Zooman and the Sign, and later was the understudy for the main character. I traveled back and forth weekly from Fairfield to L.A. for rehearsals. I then landed an extra part in a funeral scene on the TV Show ÂMidnight Caller, starring Gary Cole which was filmed in San Francisco. I auditioned for a few roles and almost landed the part of Whoopi GoldbergÂs son in the short-lived TV series ÂBagdad Café. I landed another extra part on the TV show with James Earl Jones, called ÂGabrielÂs Fire, and was asked to audition for a role on the same show while on the set. Auditions were starting to pop up everywhere and I decided to move to L.A. in 1990. I joined an acting company called ÂLafayette Players West, under the guidance of Miss Virginia Capers. Miss Capers won a Tony Award for her Broadway role in the stage play Raisin. She had many Movie and TV credits such as; ÂThe North Avenue IrregularsÂ, ÂFive on the Blackhand SideÂ, ÂFrankÂs PlaceÂ, and Will SmithÂs Grandmother on ÂThe Fresh Prince of Bel Air. Our acting company was asked to perform at the 1991 NAACP Image awards where we were nominated, but did not win.
In 1992 after a long dry spell of no auditions, I moved to San Francisco, Calif. where I was offered a position as an Engineer, and joined the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 39. With the cost of living in San Francisco being so high, I decided to move back to my hometown of Fairfield, Calif., and commute everyday. In 1995 I met my wife, Yvette, who was living in Sacramento, Calif. We started dating and foun...Expand for more
d ourselves talking about marriage, so I accepted an Engineering position with a company called Able Engineering in Roseville, Calif. and moved to Elk Grove, Calif. in 1997. On April 5th 1998, we became husband and wife and just celebrated 6 years of marriage.
In 1999 I rededicated my life to Christ after my wife accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior. That same year I accepted an Engineering position with a company called ABM Engineering Services in Sacramento, Calif. I have been in the union for 12 years and enjoy the Engineering Field.
My 1st love will always be cars, which IÂve been into since I was 10 years old. IÂve just started a business where I restore classic Datsun Z Cars to above stock performance. I also custom build personal computers for friends and family, as well as my church members. My favorite love, which has given me, the most joy, is teaching 2nd Grade Sunday School at St PaulÂs Baptist Church in Oak Park, Calif. I am also part of the Manhood Development program at church, which takes young boys between the ages of 11 and 13 and teaches them how to be good men, husbands, and fathers. We cover everything from good table manners, personal hygiene, and dating.
My wife and I purchased our 1st house in 2000 and reside in Elk Grove, Calif. We are currently trying to have some little Dixons, so keep us in you prayers.
God Bless you,
Mark H. Dixon

Workplace
As of 2007, my current job is Chief Engineer at ths State of Calif Health and Human Services Data Center. The job is fun, but not my destiny in life. My destiny is to help people become financially free and enjoy their lives with their family. I have 2 Home Based Businesses that are doing very well. After the success of my Computer Business, I decided last year that I wanted more. My current job as Chief Engineer has it's drawbacks. Working 40 hours a week for 40 years, and then trying to retire on 40% on what you aready can't live on is not appealing to me. I started a 2nd Home Based Business that has been an awesome blessing. I'm working with some Millionare Master Minds that help people retire young rich and free. Time with Family is more important to me than trading time for money for someone else's business.
Godbless You,
Mark Dixon
